ANDREA Venice FLAT Mezzanine Floor

Pro: Ottima posizione, host molto gentile. Siamo generalmente rimaste soddisfatte :)

Contro: Nel complesso la struttura è molto buia e umida, anche il pavimento non era pulitissimo.

Soggiorno bello e molto comodo. Torneremo.

Pro: La posizione centralissima e molto comoda. La disponibilità del proprietario a rispondere ad ogni dubbio o necessità. L'appartamento è un po' spartano ma funzionale.

Contro: La testata del letto è rovinata e si sgretola nelle lenzuola. E' un peccato! Manca una stanza dove poter lasciare custoditi i bagagli prima di andare via e dopo aver lasciato la struttura.

Fabulous location, good communication, well appointed apartment

Pro: Very clean, conveniently located within waking distance of train station but quiet and peaceful to sleep. Owners responded to building maintenance issue promptly, communicated with us all the way and provided a satisfactory solution.

Contro: The bed was rather uncomfortable, with the mattress dipping significantly in the middle. Had to sleep with a pillow under me to prop me up to even.

Pro: The room was quite spacious and comfortable for two people. There was a private kitchen equipped with everything needed — dishes, a gas stove, a fridge, and even a moka pot for coffee. It was great that there was heating inside that we could turn on and adjust ourselves (since it's Venice, with water everywhere and old stone buildings, it would have been freezing without it). There was even a mosquito repellent plug-in, which actually came in handy. The apartment also had a washing machine and a drying rack, which was super useful. Hot water was available.

Contro: The main downside was the fact that it wasn’t possible to insert the key into the lock from the inside, which didn’t feel very safe — especially since the room is on the ground floor near the building’s entrance. At night, when someone entered the building, it felt like they were coming into our room. I think if I had been alone, I would have felt very scared and uncomfortable because of that. The floor was extremely cold, and it would’ve been nice to have some slippers provided — even with two pairs of socks it was uncomfortable. Everything else are just small details that would have made the stay more comfortable, but not critical: The room was a bit dusty and not thoroughly cleaned — there were spider webs and some bugs smeared on the walls. We also couldn’t get the gas stove to work (seemed like the ignition wasn’t functioning), so we had to buy a lighter. In the shower, there was no shelf or ledge to place shampoo or bottles, which was quite inconvenient. But overall, it was very practical and fairly cozy.

Reccomended to stay.

Pro: Very near to the train station, clean and cosy place to stay in.

Contro: The main door needs some strenght to close and open.

Pro: The Flat is beautiful. Excellent location. Excellent facilities for a longish stay in Venice. Andrea is so lovely and helpful. A must stay in Venice.

Pro: Great location, not far from the train station. Nice to have a separate bedroom and living area. The host (Andrea) was always available via WhatsApp to address any issues.

Contro: Shower is a bit small and there was no toaster.

Pro: Andrea gave us great directions how to get to her place from the train station and access the keys. Location was perfect for us with our tours and just for walking around Venice. A/C was welcomed

Pro: The Venice flat is close to the train station and was quick and easy to get to. It was a great home base to explore Venice. Communication with Andrea was excellent, there was a map of Venice with recommendations, we tried the Osteria Poggi Restaurant- it was excellent, thank you Andrea. The flat was very quiet and had everything we needed for our stay including the washing machine. The bed and pillows were super comfy, we had excellent sleeps. In close proximity there is local grocery store, shops and restaurants. There is so much to explore and experience in Venice, if we make it back we would love to stay here again.

Contro: Andrea gave excellent instructions and pictures on location of flat and how to access the keys. If you follow her instructions in order given you will be good. Key pad then lock box. We still laugh at ourselves- the lock box on the outside of the building is not hers, just sayin', lol
