Pro: Location was great. Access directly from canals to hotel but also less than 10 min walk from St Marks. Staff could not have been nicer throughout the hotel. Spa experience was lovely and massage of high standard.

Contro: Only minor downside we had on day we were leaving was due filming having started in the hotel which restricted access. We were questioned by the security for the tv show every time we wanted access and didn’t receive any prior knowledge of this being the case or how to deal with it without causing disruption.

Pro: its like living in a palace. class and luxury everywhere. stylish, in a perfect spot. quality everywhere. breakfast room a dream. view to the grand canal amazing

Contro: THe concierge. too much confidence, like i do that for ages i know. we asked for dinner recommendation were send to a money trap. they only offered the most expensive since they knew we stayed in an expensive place. the worse. we asked for the casino, he send us there paying a taxi of 90 euros. even checked if we had passports with us. nice. and when we arrived it was closed opened 4 hour later. even that i can excuse. not even an apology when i complained i cant excuse. a bad exception in an otherwise perfect place

Pro: I spent my honeymoon at The Gritti Palace, and the experience was absolutely phenomenal. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. warm, attentive, and truly luxurious. Our room was fantastic: beautifully designed, spotless, and incredibly comfortable, with a breathtaking view overlooking the canal and the Basilica. It was the perfect setting for such a special occasion. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They surprised us with stunning bouquets and a thoughtful honeymoon gift, a gesture we truly appreciated. Everything about this hotel reflects luxury and care. I highly recommend The Gritti Palace to anyone looking for an unforgettable stay in Venice, whether for a honeymoon or simply to enjoy a remarkable hotel experience. We can’t wait to return! 🌹✨

The epitome of luxury.

Pro: Superb location on the Grand Canal and just a few minutes walk to San Marco. The hotel is incredibly comfortable and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Service was impeccable. As we were celebrating our wedding anniversary during our stay, to our considerable surprise they delivered a beautiful cake to our room.

Contro: Nothing.

Pro: great location and fabulous old style hotel the staff were exceptional , breakfasts on the terrace over looking grand canal were exceptional

Contro: no access to roof or pool as this is exclusive for the penthouse suite

Perfect hotel for a special stay in Venice

Pro: Excellent breakfast. Beautiful terrace that catches the sun all day. Such friendly helpful staff

Contro: No kettle or coffee maker in the room (due to fire regs)

Pro: The staff at the Gritti Palace are incredible, accomodating, friendly, polite, they remember you from last time, not like you are just a number & believe me in Venice that is not a common thing!

Contro: The vegetarian club sandwich fell a little short of my last one, but given this time we stayed it was the beginning of Carnivale when Venice is drowning with tourists its a little to be expected.

Simply the best luxury stay - unmissable experience.

Pro: The Gritti Palace is one of the ultimate luxury stays. It's location in a restored 15th century palazzo on the Grand Canal really is unparalleled. The rooms are gorgeously styled, like the rest of the hotel, comfortable and pure luxury. Service throughout the stay, from check-in to check-out was exceptional. Concierge was an excellent help in organising various experiences for us. We also made sure to take part in the Culinary School hosted at the hotel with one of head chefs - a brilliant experience in itself. The bar is beautiful and has a range of excellent and creative cocktails - my favourite is the Wild Fennel Martini! The restaurant was stunning at dinner and at breakfast. Fabulous all round, zero regrets.
