Pro: L’accoglienza è stata semplicemente meravigliosa. I proprietari sono veramente delle persone gentili, professionali e disponibili, ancor prima di arrivare ti fanno sentire come se ti aspettassero davvero per farti stare veramente accolto, venendo incontro a tutte le esigenze. Anche la posizione è ottima, in una calle tranquilla, con le finestre sul canale in un contesto proprio veneziano, a circa 10 minuti a piedi dalla Piazza San Marco e Ponte di Rialto, pochissimi minuti a piedi dal Ponte dell’Academia. Le camere e i bagni sono spaziosi, comodi e puliti.

Contro: I prodotti in bagno sarebbe una cosa davvero gradita.

Beautiful stay

Pro: The House on the Canal is a fabulous apartment, would highly recommend anyone and everyone to visit. Mandy and her partner were very welcoming and accommodating to our families. Mandy’s communication on the lead up to our visit was very much appreciated, down to providing photo description of how to reach the apartment via WhatsApp. We were 2 families arriving with 4 very hot children, who were offered a cold bottle straight away on our arrival. There was plenty of space for all 8 of us. The beds were comfy, and the AC was very welcome after a hot day exploring Venice. The view over the canal was gorgeous, and the location was second to none, a couple minutes walk from a beautiful square with lovely restaurants and cafe. The water bus stop San Samuele was a quick walk away. Our private water transfer from the airport got us even closer to the accommodation. I would highly recommend anyone to visit The House on the canal, it really is the perfect spot!

Convenient location , spacious would stay there again .

Pro: Very spacious rooms in great location , walking distances to most attractions or the water bus was just around the corner . Staff were very nice and allowed us to store our luggage.

Contro: Close to a school so was noisy when children queued while waiting for school to open.

Pro: This property is wonderful. The location is perfect—just far enough off the beaten track to be quiet but close enough to major attractions and restaurants/coffee shops. Our group ranged from 9 years of age to 78–we all loved it. An early morning walk to St Mark’s square was the highlight of both mornings! Super clean…friendly and very responsive host.

Contro: Seriously, I have nothing but good things to say about our stay.

Great, comfortable, central location to enjoy Venice!

Pro: Our host was exceptionally responsive and helpful. The apartment is in such a great location and the price was excellent for our family of nine to be able to stay in Venice. It was a great place to sleep after a long day of exploring the city. The host also provided us with beverages upon arrival.

Apartamento bellisimo!!

Pro: Our host was extremely helpful, allowing us to drop off luggage early and to store it after we had checked out. The apartment was very comfortable and in an excellent location for exploring (only a short walk from the Academia W.B. stop and Rialto bridge). There is a small balcony looking over the canal outside, which provides a fantastic glimpse in Venice's waterways. Our host also left us some bottled water and sparkling wine, which was a lovely touch. Overall, we cannot recommend highly enough!!

Excellent Value in a Great Location in Venice

Pro: This property is in an excellent location in Venice. Just off a major square, it is located on a quieter/smaller street... which allowed for a quiet, peaceful sleep at night. Our host Mandy was excellent! She met us at the apartment to let us in and show us around. She was very helpful via WhatsApp, and made our stay very easy.

Contro: Overall, this was a great property! Wifi was a bit weak in some spots/bedrooms. I might prefer a property with a larger, central \

Location Superb..Great Apartment.Super Host

Pro: Superb location, 10 mins to St Marks, party of 7 + 2 kids, all had very comfortable beds, whole apartment solo entrance so heavy suitcases were left in ground floor lobby, arrived by train at St lucca, private water taxi 100 euro,10 mins to SAN VIDAL,picked up same spot next morning water taxi to airport 310 euro half an hour. MANDY the host was very helpful throughout would definitely recommend., water bottles and bottle of bubbly in fridge on arrival. ALL YOU NEED FOR A GREAT STAY IN VENICE. San VIDAL to apartment around 200 yards, 2 minutes. Public water boat is around 10 euros each and would take around 45 minutes to reach San VIDAL. Plus packed boats with luggage made our decision on water taxis simple. A ll my party were delighted on this choice of apartment.

Pro: The location, and spaciousness of the apartment. We had 3 bedrooms with additional sofa beds, and 2 bathrooms which were well fitted. The hostess was also kind and helpful

Contro: There was a small kitchenette with electric kettles and sink for washing, but it would have been better if we had an oven to heat up food
