A home away from home

Pro: The apartment was spacious and had effective heating. The apartment was well equiped. It had everything you needed including a dishwasher and washing machine.

Contro: It was located away from the main island but the main island is easily reachable through the use of a waterbus. Its location can also be a positive as it is more calm and peaceful compared to the main island.

Pro: Aparrtment was very nice. Very comfartable.good location.safe

Contro: Clear directiions on how to reach apartment would be nice. Exact station names and which waterbus line to take from train station and airport would save a lot of time

Pro: We would highly recommend Venetian Family. The apartment was clean and well-presented, with comfortable beds. It’s tucked away in a quiet residential area, which suited our needs perfectly. We were met at the Sacca Fiscola water bus stop and checked in by Carlotta, who was also happy to answer our questions about the best/most cost-effective way to travel from the airport. The hosts Matteo and Syria were quick to respond and very helpful when we had to contact them about a couple of issues on our arrival. I would recommend purchasing a Vaporetto (water bus) pass for the duration of your stay as you’ll need to use the Vaporetto to reach the main island from Sacca Fiscola. There are some Trattorias which it’s possible to walk to on the neighbouring Giudecca Island. Overall a great apartment.

Contro: A reasonable journey each way to the tourist attractions on the main island. Some noise could be heard from the apartment, but this didn’t go on until late so didn’t affect being able to sleep.

Pro: Propriétaire agréable et avenant. Proche d'un arrêt de vaporetto pour aller faire des petites courses ou pour aller visiter Venise. Le logement est absolument parfait et complet pour un couple ou une famille (nous étions 5). Je recommande fortement.

Pro: Very nice location and very beautiful apartment, just like in the pictures.It comes with all the basics like stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, sandwich maker, water heater and some pots and pans and cutlery. It has a working wifi and television in every room. We could use a sharp knife but it was not a big deal. It is off the main island and we loved it, as you are actually living among normal Venetians. Going to the supermarket was very easy, just one stop with Vaporetto. Vaporetto stop is really close to the apartment. Access from Tronchetto is super easy, just one stop away. Get a weekly ticket (or whatever timeframe you needs) for Vaporetto and go and explore. Taking tours is a tourist trap, because you can go to the main attractions and islands in laguna with it. It is super fun.

Contro: Agency aka middleman Venetian Family adding confusion and demanding payment for things that were already paid. This has nothing to do with booking itself, apartment or host. I hope they skip that in the future.
