Suite Veronica & Maison Laguna

A lovely base from which to explore a beautiful city.

Pro: Very spacious and comfortable flat in the heart of San Polo - easy to walk anywhere in Venice, less crowded and touristy than San Marco (accepting that is a really low bar). Good local amenities - bars, restaurants, grocery store, self-service laundrette not too far away. Easy to contact the hosts. Generally very quiet and peaceful. Rock solid wi-fi. Plenty of storage space, so you don't feel you are living out of your suitcase. Marvellous view from the lounge. Generally well stocked flat - loads of towels, enough complimentary coffee and jam, cotton buds and make-up remover pads (!), loved the shampoo :)

Contro: No real problems, but for completeness: - some slight noise from the nearby bar on one Saturday, but nothing to really complain about (and we were there for ten days and there was no noise the other weekend) - there could have been more bin bags and dishwasher tablets. But that seems par for the course - if you are really self-catering plan to take some of these with you, wherever you are staying

Pro: The very best location. The hosts simply could not do enough for you. Their local knowledge saved me so much time with recommendations and organising the taxi boat back to the airport.

A lovely short break right in the heart of Venice and its unique atmosphere.

Great accommodation in a great location.

Pro: Comfortable and nicely decorated apartment, a pleasure to come back to after a hard day sightseeing. Close to lots of good places to eat and drink. The view of the church and square.

Contro: The steep stairs to the second floor apartment.

Pro: We had the best time with my family at Veronica's Suite in Venice! The place is located at the heart of the island. Veronica is the best host, helping us navigate the Venetian tourist activities.

Pro: Spacious and modern interior - very clean and comfortable. The hosts were very responsive. The first accomodation of many where we stayed this trip which had a map of the city and restaurant cards available in the apartment. Great location - easy and interesting walking distance to all the sights. Great restaurants nearby.

Elegant stay close to many amenities!

Pro: Great for longer stays and 3-4 people. The apartment was well appointed for cooking. Gondolas will pick you up and drop you off right outside by the church. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to others.

An enjoyable stay in a beautiful apartment

Pro: A beautiful apartment that has all the facilities of a home. It is well located away from the chaos of S Marco but you step out the front door straight onto a gondola if you want. A helpful host and instructions were accurate and clear.

Contro: The main bedroom bed was too firm for me. I ended up sleeping in the 2nd bedroom as the mattress was more to my liking. I found the hot water a bit tepid at times. It depended on the time and was good at other times.

Pro: Amazing apartment! Loved everything about our stay in Venice, and in Veronica's and Margherita wonderful apartment. Everything about the apartment was unbeatable - location, atmosphere, homeliness, spacious, decor, cleanliness - the list goes on. Ultimatey, I couldn't image staying anywhere better in Venice. A huge thanks to Veronica and Margherita for the great communication and for allowing my family an I to experience Venice from their lovely apartment.
