Venezia magica!
Pro: L' appartamento è davvero accogliente e ti fa sentire a casa. Tutti i servizi comodissimi.
Contro: Se proprio devo trovare un difetto a questa bel appartamento è il fatto che, essendo al primo piano, è piuttosto buio, ma a Venezia è una caratteristica comune.

Beautiful apartment!
Pro: Beautiful little apartment. Corinne checked in on us regularly to make sure we were okay and made us feel very welcome!
Contro: Only slight negative is that you can hear the street behind the apartment. I emphasise slight negative as it never really impacted our stay at all!

We enjoyed our stay at Piccolo - Cozy Studio.
Pro: The apartment was clean and tidy. It is well decorated with nice personal touches. Bearing in mind that Venice is an old city and the properties are all old, we were happy with the apartment. It had everything we needed (aside from a dishcloth). Corinne the owner was also very helpful. It was in a good location with a supermarket and local stores close by. Rialto bridge is 12 mins walk, St Marks square around 10 minutes. We really enjoyed the location.
Contro: There was a mildew smell when we entered the property but, it did not affect us or our stay and you cannot smell it upstairs at all. Likewise, the street outside did smell (urine) too but did not affect us. The shower and toilet are small and if you're a big guy like me, it can be a little snug. The stairs are also tight so, difficult to negotiate with suitcases. There was quite a bit of noise at night. We had the windows shut but, still were woken a few times. Also, there is light pollution coming from a security light in the street outside. This also woke us up. We struggled to understand the tourist tax as we had filled in an exemption form which we thought saved us from paying the tourist tax. We were under the assumption that tourists not staying in Venice at weekends did not have to pay the tourist tax? So, a better explanation would be welcome.

Cosy and practical 1-bedroom appartment
Pro: Corinne the owner was very helpfull and the check in and check out were very smooth. The appartment is more a 1 bedroom than a studio, and very well organised. Location in Castello is great, close to San Marco and 10 minutes from the vaporetto to go to Murano and the airport.
Contro: There is a strong humidity/mold smell as you enter the flat at the bottom of the stairs / in the bathroom due to Venice floading, but no smell upstairs in the kitchen/living room nor bedroom so it didn't bottered us too much.

Pro: My fiancé and I stayed here for 5 nights while we explored Venice. It is located in a residential area in Castello and so provided an escape from the hordes of people by St Mark’s Square and the Rialto bridge. It had storage for clothes, a small living room and desk, and a well-equipped kitchen (fridge, freezer, gas stove and oven, microwave, and plenty of dishes, pots and pans and utensils). A highlight of our trip was buying food at the Rialto market and other shops and cooking dinner for ourselves. A small grocery store is located below it which was convenient.
Contro: The bathroom was quite small, but I suspect that is the case almost everywhere in Venice.
