Stylish 1BR in Bragora Self-contained Walk to San Marco & Biennale

Pro: Everything was perfect! Riccardo was an incredibly attentive and kind host, very helpful and responsive. The apartment was beautiful and very clean. We were extremely satisfied with our stay and would highly recommend!

We felt right at home. I’ll be back soon, and for a longer stay.

Pro: I was genuinely impressed by this apartment: spotless, bright, and in a perfect location, just a 5-minute walk from Piazza San Marco, yet in the heart of authentic Castello, with a bakery, fresh pasta shop, supermarket, taverns, and many other stores right on the doorstep. Being on the first floor with a private entrance was very convenient, and inside it really feels like a lived-in Venetian home: not a standard rental, but full of personal touches that make it cozy and welcoming. I love walking barefoot, and I really appreciated the wooden floors throughout almost the entire apartment; even the bathroom is recently renovated and well cared for. The bed is super comfortable, thanks to the topper. Riccardo was a very kind host, full of helpful tips. The apartment is right behind the Riva degli Schiavoni, facing the Bacino di San Marco—simply priceless.

Pro: Host was superb, very attentive and thoughtful. Rooms were spacious, even more than enough. The apartement had everything one could think of.

Contro: The bed was bit too soft for my taste (but it was very wide) and I would have preferred blinds on the bedroom window (it was too light).

Contro: The mattress on the bed is quite soft, especially if you have back issues or prefer sleeping on a firmer surface. The pillow is too big and puffy. However, these features might be appreciated by many other travelers.

A lovely home base to explore Venice

Pro: Fantastic location, fully equipped kitchen, and plenty of wardrobe space. A grocer, bakery and butcher all are just downstairs for a real community feel. It really did feel like a home away from home

Pro: The owner was very nice and helpful. He has nice restaurant and ice cream recommendations. The apartment had a nice size and was quiet yet near restaurants etc. For us, it was importantly near the Biennale main sites. The bed was very comfortable. The coffee machine was well provided with capsules.

Contro: There is a light in the closet which turns on automatically when anyone enters or leaves the bedroom, which can be very disturbing during the night. We eventually managed to block it with paper, tape, and a book. In the evening, if you open the bedroom window you get the smell from a restaurant below. Not very disturbing, just plan not to have to open the window during restaurant hours. The main door leads to stairs, which open directly to the apartment. This is not a problem if you don't have kids, but thre is no safety barrier so could be dangerous with young kids (which we didn't have).

Pro: Fantastic location in Costello, conveniently walkable to many key areas of interest (including the Biennale) and eateries in Venice. Well equipped, clean and comfortable apartment, including a very functional kitchen. Riccardo is wonderfully helpful and responsive host, and he shared great recommendations for local eating!
